Do you accept ink cartridges for recycling?
Yes — we take ink cartridges free, working or broken, any brand and any age. Bring them to Computer Recycling LLC at 125 E 10th Ave, North Kansas City, MO 64116. No appointment, no minimum quantity, no fee. We are open Monday to Friday 8am–3pm and Saturday 8am–2pm. Pull around to the back dock, ring the bell, and our crew comes out to unload for you — most drop-offs take under five minutes. Nothing is landfilled: working gear is refurbished for reuse and the rest is broken down for material recovery through R2v3 or e-Stewards certified partners. Larger volumes can be picked up instead.
The essentials
We accept all ink and toner cartridges: HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Lexmark, Samsung, Xerox, and every other brand. Inkjet cartridges, laser toner, drum units, and waste toner containers. Used, expired, or even damaged — we take them all.
Over 375 million ink and toner cartridges end up in landfills every year. A single laser toner cartridge can take up to 1,000 years to decompose. Cartridges contain plastics, metals, residual ink (which can contain volatile organic compounds), and toner powder that should never enter waterways. Recycling recovers high-quality plastics and metals while preventing chemical contamination.
Unopened, sealed ink and toner cartridges — especially HP, Canon, and Brother — have strong resale value. If you have surplus office supplies from closures or upgrades, contact us. We buy back sealed cartridges at competitive prices.
